IN CHRIST | Prayer In Christ | Ephesians 1:15-23 | Milton James
In today’s message from our transformative message series, IN CHRIST, Elder Milton James walks through Ephesians 1:15–23, declaring that Jesus Christ reigns above all power and authority, and His resurrection power is at work in His Church.
Paul’s prayer is that the eyes of our hearts would be enlightened to know Him and the immeasurable greatness of His power toward those who believe.

I thank y'all. I thank y'all. [applause] There you go. That's the name of the Lord. I've got a assignment today to continue our series in Christ. I hope it's been blessing y'all. It should be blessing y'all. And encouraging y'all and strengthening y'all. So walk through the letter of Ephesians. I've been given that great honor to stand before you today. I'd like to welcome our first time visitors here. We welcome you. We thank you for coming. Welcome all of our digital disciples from all around the world. We thank y'all for tuning in and your support, your prayers. It means everything. We also want to welcome the unbeliever, the one. Yes, give it up for the unbeliever. And when I say unbeliever, don't take that as a bad term. We all were unbelievers. And we all was in darkness. So that when we say that, we don't say that as a derogatory term. We just say it of the reality of where you are spiritually. We pray today that you will come out of that darkness and to his marvelous light. And as the proclamation of the word goes forth, as he beckoned you in your soul, like you'll feel a tug in your soul to say yes to him. I will tell you, not turn away from that, not suppress that, just say yes. And you will be blown away what he will do in your life. We are a house of prayer, presence, and proclamation. And we will continue to fight for that.
This is what took us this far. Prayer unto the Lord Jesus, the presence of the Holy Spirit and the proclamation of his word in its entirety, not trying to manipulate it or manipulate you. We'd like to honor our lead pastor, Philip, Anthony Mitchell. Thank you, man of God. Thank you for your eternal sacrifice. The title of this message today is prayer in Christ. Prayer in Christ. Pray for me as a pray for y'all. You are so worthy, King. I am just a hard piece of clay, trying to articulate and proclamation your holy word to your sons and daughters and the unbeliever. I need the power of the Holy Spirit to snatch the unbeliever out of darkness into your marvelous light and to fortify your sons and your daughters. Father, have your way in me, in my mind, in my heart. Have your way in your people, Lord. You know what they need. And I pray that they will just be free. When they hear the proclamation of your word today, that they will take it to heart. They will change and rearrange them, that they will walk in the fullness of who you are, God. This is my prayer. We love you, Lord, even in our flawed state. You know, we do our best to honor you. Give you all praise, all honor, all glory. It's in Jesus' name, my prayer. Amen. Amen. Beloved family, one of the most eye-opening things that I had realized as I studied these holy scriptures, like I really don't know God like I think I know God. It baffles me that we fall into these times where we believe we have reached a apex with God that we know Him. And that is the Father's from the truth. We're still going from glory to glory to glory. he has revealed himself to me,
and now I'm doing my best to go from glory to glory and another thing that I have realized is a blockage in you and I that clouds that glory from being manifested in this life. It's like times like we can talk about state form and we can talk about 80,000 people gathering for prayer. And as amazing as it was and as glorious as it was, we still can't really wrap our souls and our minds around that. It's like even coming into these gatherings, just the fact like these are holy gatherings with the spirit of the Lord in these gatherings, but that blockage will come into these holy gatherings. We come in and treat them as common. The fact that God gave you breath today. Like a lot of people did not wake up today and either their state was sealed in heaven or in hell. There is no middle ground. They woke up in the presence of the Lord or in eternal torment. And we by the grace of the living God has give us day to day, week to week, month to month, year to year. And our focus is focused on the things that are going wrong. It's that eternal in this flesh, that blockage that we can't really grasp the glory of who God is. We can't really grasp the miracle signs and wonders. They just come and go, come and go. (muffled speaking) The blockage in us is sin.
And we deal with those ramifications. The sin in us, it sends a shadow to shadow and cover the miraculous and turn it into the mundane. The same sin that blind the disciples, that we beat 'em, we beat 'em up bad too. You know, we put foot the disciples. Why y'all didn't know that was Jesus and why y'all didn't? 'Cause they were dealing with the same thing you and I deal with right now. That blockage of sin that covers the miraculous. It blinds us from the miraculous. And where Paul is going next is a prayer in Ephesus chapter one, verse 15 to 23. And it's a continuous prayer. It doesn't have verses. I mean, in our book it has verses, but it was not written in its entirety that way. And like I was trying to figure out, like I cannot tell you the weight or the gravity or even articulate what we about to read. It's by the power of the Holy Spirit and I pray that your hearts and your minds will be open. 'Cause this is the only way we're gonna get a full revelation of this. It's by the power of the Holy Spirit. 'Cause I can't, I'm just a man. I don't have the words or the capacity, the understanding to make y'all understand this.
So the only thing I can do is read these Holy Scriptures to you. And that I will do, if I don't do nothing else, that I will do. Let's start at Ephesus chapter one, verse 15. For this reason, because I've heard of your faith in the Lord Jesus and your love towards all the saints. Now, for this reason is attached to what Paul has already talked about from verse one to 14. He already talked to us about our identity and our position in Christ. Y'all remember this. He already talked about our death. I don't care how you got here, you're not a mistake. The Lord thy God, from the foundations of the world, had you in mind. You're not a mistake. Sitting in this room, you're not a mistake. This is a divine plan you are here today. This is a divine plan you are in the kingdom. You are not a mistake. Paul talked about redemption in Christ. He also talked about the Holy Spirit being the guarantee. You ever bought a ticket somewhere and you might be in a group of y'all like, "Y'all go to the movie." I know back in the day when I used to go to the movies, it'd be like 20 of us. And everybody would be like, "You got a ticket, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah." And then you get to the line. And everybody going in and then this last person, like, "Bro, you said you had the ticket." We're going to walk in heaven because the ticket in us is the Holy Spirit. Nobody is going to stop you from going into heaven.
That's why I was like guaranteed. That's why I was like guaranteed. You're going to walk right into heaven, "Hey, how y'all doing, y'all good at heaven." Thanks be to God, I made it, praise God. But you should already know you're going to make it. You've got an inward witness. Teach you, lead you, guide you, convict you of your righteousness. You should know that now. But the reason Paul prayed this, he was so overwhelmed by what the Scripture said. "I have heard of your faith in the Lord Jesus Christ." Paul had already been four years removed from Ephesus when he wrote this letter to them. So Paul was out on his travels, he's hearing people talk about the church that he planted. He's hearing people talk about the faith that they're talking about the Lord Jesus Christ and their love towards one another. That's so beautiful. Paul just mounted his business and people coming up to him and, "Oh, I visit Ephesus. Oh, I visit 28-19." And they have a good report. So Paul, by the, by the function of the Holy Spirit, writes this letter back to them. And remember, this is a prayer that he's praying. Verse 16, "I do not cease to give thanks to for you, remembering you in my prayers." Paul is constantly praying for the churches, praying for the saints and he's given thanks for them for all he wrote in verse 1 through 14 and what God is doing in the church Ephesus. And that we should have, our heart should be the same like these churches that are exploding all over the world that God is doing, we should be praying for them and we should be thanking God for them because in this nation we got the light, we got the easy task. We're not under persecution of death in this nation yet because it is coming. The way we move, the way we allow everything darkness to take over, it is coming. It's just a matter of time, 17. Now this is, like I said, this is a prayer and I'm going to be jumping back and forth
from a scripture I already read to the next scripture because it's a prayer and it's continuous. God cease to give thanks for you, remembering you in my prayers, that the Lord, I mean that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the father of glory may give you the spirit of wisdom and of revelation in the knowledge of him. Yes, say that again. Paul's central request is that we know God more. One in revelation is not to be presented as spiritual status in symbols like men that can articulate well and have good. It should be for me to learn and know who God is more, to go from glory to glory to glory with him. The most dangerous thing is for somebody like me to always pick up these Scriptures just to teach, teach, teach, teach, teach, teach. Look at the Pharisees. The Pharisees, they knew the Torah backwards and forwards and could recite it to you. But then when the Christ comes, they don't recognize them. Why? Because they've been teaching, teaching, teaching, teaching. That's why so dangerous not to apply the Scriptures for yourself. You apply them for yourself. So what? So I can know who God is for me. Not for the person I know I used to do it too. I used to sit in the seat and be like, man, I wish such and such was here. They need to hear this. No, not for them. No, for me. So I even, me and Elle to talk about it, we have to fight against that. Like every time I pick up the Bible, it is not for me to put my sermon together and get some good points in there and no, no, no, no. It's for me to know God. It is not a spiritual status symbol or a fascination with hidden information because some people just like to use the principles and they think they know God. They think they know God. No, no, you don't know him. It's like it's like the women with the issue of blood walking and the crowd is around him and Jesus said, who touched me? And Peter said, man, it's a crowd around you. Everybody touching you. What you talking about? See, the woman with the issue of blood knew him. It's a lot of us in the crowd and we see Jesus and we think, and this is the block that I'm talking about, we think we know him. Just like our me people. They be like, hey, Elle, the, Elle, the Milton and I'll introduce myself. I say, hey, my name is Milton. They say, oh, I know you. I say, no, you don't know me. You know of me. And that's the same way we do Jesus.
What these scriptures are designed for us to know him, like intimately, personally. This prayer for wisdom and revelation is not for human cleverness. Just, it's not because to make you smart, to make me smart, it is to know the Lord thy God. So whenever you open these holy texts, that should be your motive. Lord, show me you more. Lead me, Holy Spirit. Reveal to me with wisdom and revelation who you are. Colossians chapter 1 verse 9 through 10. Colossians chapter 1. And so from the day we heard, we have not ceased to pray for you, asking that you may be filled with the knowledge of his will in all spiritual wisdom and understanding. How much? All spiritual wisdom and understanding. Why? Why do we need spiritual wisdom and understanding? So as to walk in a manner worthy of the Lord, fully pleasing him. Fully pleasing him, bearing fruit in every good works and increasing in the what. This has got to be our harp posture. Verse 18, Ephesians 1 verse 18. "Having the eyes of your hearts enlightened, why, that you may know what is the hope to which he called you? What are the riches of his glorious inheritance in the saints? Why do we need our hearts enlightened? That you may know the hope of God's calling, like all of that he preached and taught. From verse 1 to 14, you need to, that needs to be embedded in you. Like really go back and listen to the message, read the Scriptures, ask the Holy Spirit. You have to know this, sons and daughters, it just can't stop it, oh I'm a son, I'm a daughter. You have to be enlightened that you may know, because if we don't understand that God has called you from the foundation of the world. Everybody, everybody, he said he chooses that no man perish. So everybody had a divine purpose, you have a divine purpose. He's trying to reveal that to you, a divine purpose in the earth and a divine purpose when you get to glory. Like when we die it's not the end, it's like we have eternity to live. But he has orchestrated this from the foundation of the world for each and every one of you. And the next, the next, he says the riches of his glorious inheritance in the saints. He has coordinated all of this for you, hung on the cross, died, shed blood, raised from the dead, sitting at the right hand of the Father, all to orchestrate to get to you that you will understand and go from what I've called you to. To us being in glory.
This is God's heart and we treat our lives like so mundane. The sin that so easily trips us up, it put blinders on us the ramifications of this flesh that we cannot see our divine calling. This is what Paul is praying over them. And the hope Paul is talking about, it's not the hope that we have in like human being hope. It's a hope, it's a guarantee, like these scriptures are guaranteed. That's where our hope should lie. That we know whatever he conducted from the foundation of the world into eternity is for you. Like we're not just up here trying to cheer lead you on. This is not a cheer lead or a pep talk, this is God's word for you. 1 Peter chapter 1 verse 30 verse 3 and 4. 1 Peter chapter 1 verse 3 and 4. That's what those pages sound like, just wind blowing. Like y'all might be like me, like I can't, I hate when it's switch, you know the season switch because I like hearing the fan blow and you be freezing their family blowing. You know their freezing. That's what those pages sound like, it's just like just fresh wind. First Peter, verse three and four. Blessed be the God and Father. He has caused us to be born again. Like, this is just what I was telling with the unbeliever. Like, He is, it's like the slightest, like He said, the faith of a mustard seed. Like, if you have a little bit of faith, He gonna punch, He gonna kick the door down. He's gonna cause you to be born again. He's gonna harass you and make you be born again. Just a mustard seed faith. Just believe in the resurrection, just a little bit. He says He's gonna cause us to be born again to a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead,
to an inheritance that is imperishable, undefiled and unfading. Capped well, for who? Ah, come on now, y'all gotta start. It's gotta start stirring your soul. Like I said, these are not just pep talks. This is your reality. Because you'd be so happy if one of your parents left a will and passed away and they left all this money to you. You'd be so happy. We have so much greater. We have so much greater. We gonna live forever. We gonna be with Jesus. We gonna live out your divine purpose and look, no sickness, no disease, no hurt, no harm, no fussing, no fighting. (congregation applauding) Like, this is your inheritance. This is what he's trying to get to, y'all. This is what Paul keeps praying about. And letting y'all know God has orchestrated this. Like somebody did die for this inheritance. He did die to get this to you. He did die. And one day, like this blockage, we gonna really enjoy it. See, right now we gotta pull and pride and pull and try to get you to understand
and Holy Spirit do his work and he gotta fight, but one day, one day. You wanna walk on the streets of gold? We go to my mansion, I'm gonna kick my feet up and I'm gonna do this eternal work, whatever he has for me in glory. Like, what do y'all think is going, it's a galaxy out there. Like, it's trillions and billions of planets. You don't think we gonna be taking over trillions and billions of planets in eternity? The work that was dead in the garden, it's gonna just start. See, y'all don't even be thinking about stuff like that. Don't even be imagining what's gonna happen on the other side. Taking over planets and galaxies. Snap our fingers and be on earth. Hey, Lord, how you doing today? Y'all good up in here? Oh, let me go back to Mars, I see y'all. That glorified body, Jesus just appeared in rooms. Greetings, oh, where'd you come from? The door was locked. How'd you get in here? That's our inheritance. Start thinking about that, like walking the streets of gold with the Lord. Yeah, yeah. Like, the city that's gonna come down
said there will be no need for the sun 'cause it's glory. Like how we in here sweating, no more sweating. No more sweating. Perfect temperature all the time. Ed will find conversations all the time. Like wherever you go, you see a group of people talking, you just jump in and that was good. You see another group of men, that was good. Like everything. Oh, y'all starting to come around. I feel y'all. It's okay. Better late than never. [ Laughter ] Verse 19, Ephesians. Verse 19, "And what is the immeasurable greatness of his power towards us? Who believe according to the working of his great might?" I'm going to read 20 with it because they just really go together. That he worked in Christ when he was raised from the dead and seated him at his right hand in the heavenly places. Read it one more time. I'm going to read it slow because I need to get this. I don't know. I know y'all theologians. I need to get this. And what is the immeasurable greatness of his power towards us?
Who believe? I can. This is what I was telling you, I can't figure that out. Immeasurable? Like, there is no limit to his power. It's immeasurable. I can't figure it out. Not going to try. Just like he told you, where was you when I created the sun, the moon, the stars? You have all -- we do it all the time. We have all -- Lord, why don't you do this and why don't you? His power is immeasurable. His knowledge is immeasurable. Like atoms and chromosomes and DNA. He put all that together. He gave that knowledge to man. But he orchestrated it. But what is this immeasurable power for? Immeasurable greatness of his power towards us who believe according -- this is what the immeasurable power is attached to. According to the workings of his great might, what is the great might that he worked in Christ who was what? And seated at the right hand of the Father, resurrection power, that's in you. Great might, unmeasurable power, the resurrection. This is a display of his power and then him ascending and being with the Father, sitting at the right hand. Like there is no Matthew 28, 19, without Matthew 28, 18, all authority. All authority has been given to who? Christ.
In heaven and in earth, there is no church without all authority, immeasurable power, resurrection power. There is no church, hymns coming to the throne sitting down at the right hand of the Father. There is no church, and there is no hope. In chapter 3, chapter 3 verse 20 and 21, we're -- but our citizenship is in -- our citizenship is in heaven, and from it we await a Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ, who will do what? Transform this to be like what? 'cause I'm gonna be in this glory, five body. Who will transform our lowly bodies to be like his glorious body by the, what, the power that enables him even to subject all things to him. It says, "By the power that enables him even to subject all things to him." Like, "His power makes everything come to him. His power draws everything to him." Like, "It has no choice." Like I told the first gathering, "See, we think when Christ returns, every knee shall bow, every tongue confess, we think we're gonna have a choice." Like, "We think we're gonna stand in His presence and, "Oh, should I bow my knee?" Go, "The power!" You are Lord. You are Lord. Oh, my God, in heaven, Jesus, see, 'cause we don't know Him. The power of His glory is gonna--you can fight it all you want. You're gonna buckle under the weight of that power, and you're gonna know Jesus, you are Lord. You are Lord. Talk about resurrection power. The power that raised Christ from the dead, the power that He's sitting at the right hand of the Father. Verse chapter 8, verse 9 and 11, "Resurrection power," Romans chapter 8, verse 9. You however are not in the flesh but in the Spirit.
If in fact the Spirit of God dwells in you, you must be born again. You must surrender to the Lord Jesus Christ. You must be filled with His Spirit, transformed and renewed. Anyone who does not have the Spirit of Christ does not belong to Him. And if Christ is in you--oh, y'all didn't hear it. But if Christ is in you, although the body is dead because of sin, the Spirit of life because of righteousness, if the Spirit of Him who raised Jesus from the dead, from the dead dwells in you, He who raised Christ Jesus from the dead will also give life to this mortal body through His Spirit who dwells in you. This is your inheritance. You must be a glorified body with Christ. Like the only thing we can see is lightning bolts and volcanoes and that it does not compare. Supreme demonstration of His power is raising Christ from the dead and now seated at the right hand of the Father and even in that power Ephesians 21. Bless you. [BLANK_AUDIO] nothing is going to dominate the Lord Jesus Christ. Nothing's going to... It's immeasurable. The resurrection is the time that He shows us supreme power over all things. You're not going to escape Him. No president, no general, no pastor, no elder. Everyone will have to stand before Him. See, like I said, see, we're so, we're so, we're dealing with the ramifications of this so bad, we feel like we're going to stand in His presence and talk our way out. We're going to be able to debate with the Lord Jesus Christ. No, no, no, no, no debating because see, when you get in His presence you're going to know. When that, when that, when that glory and that power hits your physical body, you're going to know like, oh Lord, I am in trouble. It's not going to be a guess. That's why you accept Him now on this side. You believe in Him now on this side because you don't want to see Him on the other side thinking you're going to debate with Him. But Lord, I did this and I did that and I served and I gave to the homeless and I, He don't care about none of that. He don't care about none of that. What He cares about, if you have
His spirit in Him, in you. That's what He care, the guarantee because when we walk up there, I'm going to be at peace. I want each and every one of y'all to be at peace with no doubt, like this is what the Scriptures are for, to destroy doubt. This is the power of the Holy Spirit, to destroy doubt in you. You can't be cower than around a holy God, the one that's called you, put his spirit in you and calling you higher. This is not condemnation. This is the call you higher to know who you are in Christ. You've got to believe. Must see faith. He'll walk you through the rest. Ephesians 21. And this power is what, far above all rule and authority and power and dominion and above every name that is named, not only in this age, but also in the one to come. Like did he miss anything? Far above where sin about grace is far above all rule and authority. You're not going to over outrank him. You're not, see this life or so deceiving because you think you've done all this good stuff. We cast out demons and we pray. And you have not bowed your knee to the authority of the Lord Jesus Christ because he has all power and dominion and above every name. His name is going to be to the end of time, name after name after name. He is the only progenitor. I am the way. I am the truth. I am the life. No man. No man. Like who? Come on, man. Who can really make this kind of statement? No man comes to the Father, but through me. Far above all rule and authority and power. But also in the age to come Paul emphasizes the comprehensive scope of the Lord Jesus supremacy Like it's it's it's it's unfathomable. It's immeasurable all you have to do is Look to your left and look to your right And you can see the power of God as he created you Like we don't know what's going on in the inside of us Like I can't right now blood is flowing heart is pumping oxygen is going in and I'm not doing any of that You aren't either It's it's divine resurrection power Keeping yourselves together when you get sick white blood cells Human beings are catching up learning Divine resurrection power is in you. It's for you the church Yes, thank him the church
There is no church without the Lord Jesus Christ The highest entity in this life is the church But we're so dull And sin has blocked us so much We can't see his divine power that works and moves and breathes in the church Christ authority Unfathomable first Peter chapter three verse 22 First Peter chapter three Verse 22 So Well, this but this is Paul's prayer to the church Paul understood this a man cannot write this and not have Some form of understanding of the power of the Lord Jesus Christ his death burials resurrection his ascension sitting at the right hand of the Father First Peter verse chapter three verse 22 Who has gone into heaven and is at the right hand of God who claim in this? Where have you ever heard a man claim that I? am I am going to heaven to sit at the right hand of God I Pass the phillips that if a man rose from the dead and walked in here we all would be asking them questions And we would believe him No progenitor has ever returned from the grave No progenitor has ever claimed to sit at the right hand of God and With that with angels authorities and powers have been subjected to him There is no escaping divine power Divine authority divine rule Ephesians chapter 1 verse 22 And he put all things under his feet and gave him as head over all things to the church Marie 21 and 22 together far above all rule and authority and power and dominion and above everything
but also in the age to come. It ties together and he put all things under his feet and gave him as head over all things to the church. Revelations 19. Revelation 19, verse 11 to 21, 'cause we, we. Power, like real power. You should walk out of here, step in a little different. Like when you go to Walmart, you shouldn't have to be worried about no demons. Like power is in me. You ever have people come walking to you looking crazy and they'll turn around and walk away? Why? Resurrection powers on the inside of you. We think all the time we gotta perform. No, you have resurrection power in you. Wherever your feet tread, there's power. Revelations, verse 19, chapter 19, verse 11 through 21. Then I saw heaven open and behold, a white horse. The one sitting on it called Faithful and True. And in righteousness, he judged and does what? You're not gonna escape. No one escapes. That's why you can't, that's why we can't stay focused on all the things that's going wrong. Listen, Christ is going to deal with it. No one escapes, verse 12. His eyes are like a flame, a fire. And on his head are many diadems. And he has a name written that no one knows but himself.
Verse 13. He is clothed in a robe dipped in blood and the name by which he is called is the what? You gotta get to know him. You gotta get to know him. Verse 14. And the armies of heaven, a rain and fine linen, white and purer. Where is this army coming from? Oh, y'all not excited enough for me. Where is this army? This army right here is you and I. Like we're gonna be a rain and fine linen, white and pure. We're gonna be on our own horses following the Lord Jesus. As he comes back to take territory and make war. Nobody gets away with nothing. 'Cause he got all power and authority. Our time is coming, nobody gets away with anything. He's coming to make war and we gonna be with him. We gonna be with him. That's why you hear us sing. I hear the sounds of an army arising. I hear the sounds of an army arising. I hear the sounds. That's why 'cause we coming with him and we coming to make war. Like this is the time, like right here, this is the time you get your leg back. Hey, this is the time you get all your pain, all the shortcomings, all the hurt.
This is the time you get your leg back. Christ said, Christ said, come on army, get your leg back. Come on and get your leg back. 'Cause you know what, I was trying to wonder why Christ led this army. I was like, why Christ has all power, all authority, like, why did, oh, he wanted to get our leg back. Yeah, it wasn't for him, it was for us. Like you get the, you get the, whoo, whoo, whoo, whoo. Like, like, I know some of y'all would be talking about smacking Adam and Eve. Yeah, I got smacked, you know. It's gonna, when you, when we are, when the armies of heaven, a rain and fine linen, white and pure, we're following him on white horses, we gonna get our leg back. Y'all, and, hey, I'm ready too. I'm ready. And then we could be like, woo, I only got that on with my chest. Stop trying to get it off your chest now. Time is coming for you to get that all off your chest. Verse 15, "From his mouth comes a sharp sword, with which to strike down the nations. And he will rule them with a rod of iron. He will tread the winepress of the fury of the wrath of God, the Almighty." Verse 16, "On his robe and on his thigh he has a name written,
King of Kings and Lord of Lords, King of Kings and Lord of Lords." So when you get your lick back, you're going to let them know who-- this is who you get in your lick back. Go on, get your lick back. I'm the King of Kings, Lord of Lords, I ain't going to do nothing until you get your lick back. Go on, you got a problem with it? Go on, get your lick back. Go get-- because he's the King of Kings and the Lord of Lords. Verse 17. "Then I saw angel standing in the sun and was a loud voice he called to all the birds that fly directly overhead." I know I just swoosh about that, but that's crazy. I saw angel standing in the sun. "And was a loud voice he called to all the birds that fly directly overhead. Come gather for the great supper of God." Verse 18. "To eat the flesh of the kings, the flesh of captains, all power over. The flesh of mighty men, all power over. The flesh of horses and their riders, he got all power over all of them. And the flesh of all men, both free and slave, both small and great, whoever you think you are. Whoever you think you are in this life, you have no power. Christ has all power." Verse 19. "And I saw the beast, the Antichrist, and the kings of the earth with their armies
gathering to make war against him." I told the first gatherer. I said, Christ-- I know Christ sitting back like-- Satan and his minions, they are-- he is the King of deceivers. They have to be deceived. You are going against somebody that you cannot beat. Like you tried to beat him once, he got kicked out of heaven. Like, you didn't get the memo. Like, you're not going to win. But see, that's the great deception. You think, if you join Satan's crew, you're going to win. "Beast and the king of the earth with their armies gather to make war against him who was sitting on the horse and against his army." Verse 20. "And the beast was captured." It don't even tell you. Christ kicked butt so fast, it didn't even tell you. Y'all got your lick back so fast, it don't even tell you. It don't even tell you. It just tell them they lost. That's all they say. And the beast was captured. Well, leave me, y'all got your lick back. Because we're riding with the all-powerful one. You ever be like-- you ever had a real big brother? Like, you was like five years apart. And he was that thug dude on the block. And you walked with him, you were like, oh, hey,
nothing going to happen to me, you're walking. Like, Christ is the king of kings. And the Lord of Lords, he's the one that is walking that we have no fear. Like, he's going to handle it. Even if one of y'all think y'all might be struggling, Christ doesn't. And the beast was captured. And with it was the false prophet who in its presence had done the signs by which he deceived. Good God. He deceived those who had received the mark of the beast and those who worshiped image. so you won't end up deceived. Verse 21. These two were thrown alive into the lake of fire that burns with sulfur. Verse 21. Verse 21. I'm sorry. And the rest were slain by the sword that came from the mouth of him who was sitting on the horse and all the birds gorged with their flesh. Like Jesus grabbed them, just man hand them the false prophet and the beast and just toss them. Get out of here. Just a man hand with a power and they have their fighting, fighting. He's just man hand, that's powerful. Y'all got to use your imagination man, power. Like keep man, get over here. Y'all times get over here.
Like he not playing, he not playing for the Antichrist and the false prophet. Man, get out. Revelation 20, verse 7 and 10. So what are you going to do to Satan? And when the thousand years has ended, Satan, what were you released from his prison? And we'll come out to deceive. I mean we're living in it right now. You see the deception. Like people think we'll be just, I don't know what they do, I don't know what they're thinking. I really don't. It's just deception. To deceive the nations that are at the full corners of the earth, God and may God, together them for battle. There they go again, their numbers is like the sand of the sea. Like they mobbed for real, like they come and fall, the Lord Jesus. He said like the sands of the sea. Watch with all power do. And they marched up over the broad plain of the earth and surrounded the camp of the saints and the beloved city. But fire. But fire ain't no, ain't no, listen, that's what I said before the Lord just, he just came like that because he wanted to, he wanted to flex a little bit. He just wanted to flex, he wanted y'all to get y'all licked back because right here it's just but fire, fire came down from heaven and consumed them who this great sea, this great army that's supposed to take down the Lord Jesus Christ and his people. This great army, that's why we can't be shook right now when we see great armies because we got a general that is above all generals and he's a commander over all commanders. And he has all power and all authority. And the devil who was deceiving them was thrown into the lake of fire and sulfur where the
beast and the false prophet were and they will be tormented day and night. What do you do with Satan, get your power, he of his fighting and squirming, get your power, resurrection power, sitting at the right hand of the Father power. But wait, it don't stop there. Yeah, don't stop. I'm gonna read 22, and then we're gonna go into 23. And he put all things under his feet. That's what I was thinking about, just like how Elder was talking about with that leash. He was talking about with that leash with your sin. See how we got a fight to get that centered bow? Nah, the Lord Jesus. He got all three of them on a leash, and he just put his foot down, like power, like they, they're struggling, he's not struggling with them. They can try to run, squirm. He just got his foot on him. I mean, he just, he just got his foot on him. And they just, they just down there. (audience laughing) Power. Y'all need to walk out of here with your chest sticking out. Like I'm a part of the Lord Jesus. I got resurrection power on the inside of me. Let me read this. Verse, oh crap, let me read this. Verse 22 and 23. And he put all things under his feet and gave him as head over all things to the church,
which is his body. The fullness of him who feels all and in all. We are participants in that power. And we gotta know that. The church is not merely a organization, and Jesus is just a part of it. Like the church is here and Jesus is, no, no, no, no, no, no. He is the head of the church. It is connected. If we chop your head off, you're dead, no more living. Power flows from the head down in the body. You are a part of the body. You have resurrection power on the inside of you. Yeah. Christ fills the church with his fullness by power of the spirit. Close and frank. Paul prays that believers will see more clearly who God is. I pray that y'all have seen more of who God is. What he has called us to, how richly we belong to him and how complete the resurrection and his ascension to give him power over all things. Holy Father, I pray, just sons and daughters, our eyes have been open to your supreme power and revelation, knowledge, and wisdom to know who you are. Open our eyes, Lord, and let us not be so easily tripped up by the ramifications of sin that dwells in us.
Let us always turn that you have divine power over all things. I accept that you will just do a mighty work in us, Lord, as we come into the knowledge of that revelation that we will walk with our chests out and not afraid of anything in this life, no circumstance, no situation, no ideology, no demonic forces, not even our own sin. You have authority even over that. Father, bless your sons and daughters in the knowledge of the truth of your word and bring the unbeliever into your kingdom. We love you, we honor you. Thank you, Lord, for this time to minister to your sons and daughters. It's in Jesus' name, amen.
