Saturated Sunday: Two Options - Religion to Redemption - Matthew S6E7

Amen, amen. How we do a church, good? How many of you are in all five days of saturated? Oh, look at that. (congregation cheering) You're gonna eat first in heaven, all right? Tell 'em I said it. Hey, if you got your Bible's Matthew chapter 26, this is where we're gonna be. We are wrapping up this season six of our study through Matthew called religion to redemption. And I wish I was smart enough to like plan it all out. So this is the text we've landed on today, but this is how it worked out. Thank you, Jesus, for this text. 'Cause listen, I'm here to let you know that we are gonna have a good day today. It's already been off to a good start this week with saturated and I'm gonna preach a shorter message. No, amen, I'm gonna preach a shorter message so that we have time to baptize those of you that are ready to cross over the line. Some of you don't know you're getting baptized yet, but I do, and you don't think you're ready, but we're ready for you, okay? So just get ready, it's coming. And you are gonna join the already 123 people that have been baptized this morning at the 722 AM service. Let's go. Then we're gonna do it again at 1122,

and then we're gonna do it again at 422 in this afternoon. We go, go home and we're gonna watch the jaguars just beat the mud out of the Broncos. (congregation cheering) My Bible says that Jesus will return on a white horse. So that's idolatry to think that you get to claim the white horse. You understand what I'm saying? So Jesus wants us to win, he told me. So that's what's gonna happen. And that's gonna be a good day. This whole series has been called religion to redemption. And in this text, we are gonna see the greatest example of a religious person versus somebody who has been redeemed. So Matthew chapter 26, beginning in verse one, the Bible says this. When Jesus had finished all these sayings, if you'll remember last week, he just finished preaching. He's done preaching, no more sermons. Now it's headed towards the sacrifice. That's where he's going. He just finished Matthew 24 and 25 where he explained to the disciples, be ready 'cause the day or hour, you don't know what it is. So the key was be ready. And now he has headed towards the cross. There's no turning back. When Jesus had finished all these sayings, he said to his disciples,

you know that after two days, the Passover is coming. And the Son of Man will be delivered up to be crucified. That in God's sovereignty, God knew that when he sinned, it's only we got in Son to be the lamb who comes and take away the sin of the entire world, that the day that he would shed his blood on the cross would be the day of Passover. And what they celebrated at Passover, this would be like Christmas Eve for us, man. The biggest holiday, you got it? And people from all over would come into Jerusalem and they would make a sacrifice to celebrate what happened back in Moses' day. You see, it goes all the way back in the book of Exodus, Moses, just kind of a regular guy with sort of a rough upbringing and for sure a tattered pass that he didn't want to tell anybody about. Like he killed a guy once and didn't hide him very well. And they found out, so he was on the run for his life. And when God encounters Moses, you know he's not walking in the spirit 'cause he's working for his father-in-law, so just imagine that. And he's hanging out, he's wandering around, he takes his life's over and he's old, he's 80. So I don't care how old you are, he ain't over 'til Jesus says, "It's over." And you're 80 and up crowd, which we got a bunch here, man.

God's not done with you, we need you in our lives. The kingdom has a purpose and a plan for you and so Moses is minding his own business with some sheep and then this bush is on fire, but it's not consumed, he walks up to it and the God of the universe starts speaking to Moses through the bush. Says, "Take off your shoes, you're on holy ground." And so he does. And God says to Moses, "Moses, I got a job for you. "I want you to go to the Pharaoh." Now here's what's crazy, man. He is that what the enemy intended for evil, God intended for good. And Moses, because the Pharaoh was killing all the little boys to and under Moses through a crazy set of circumstances, he gets adopted by like the people that work in the palace. He grows up in the palace. And so God uses the way he grew up to be the person that goes back to the palace 'cause he knows the garage code to the palace. He knows how it works there. And he says, "Mo, here's what I want you to do. "I want you to go to before Pharaoh who thinks he is God "and I want you to say I'm here on behalf of God "and I'm here to tell you let my people go." And Moses is like, you got the wrong guy. I don't talk good. So God's like, Aaron, talk for him. What you got next?

He's like, I don't have power. He's like, how about this? Take your staff, throw it on the ground. It turns into a snake. And he's like, pick it back up. Some of you be like, I'm out. I ain't your guy. And I want you to tell Pharaoh let my people go and Moses is like well who if they asked me who sent me? Who should I say and God says here's my name? I am that I am So when we're singing that song the great I am we're not saying the great I am We're saying that you are the great I am who was and is and is to come holy holy holy is the Lord God Almighty And so he shows up puts his finger in Pharaoh's chest as he says let my people go Pharaoh's life. What? It's then God sends plague after plague after plague He sends ten plagues and every single one of the plagues if you read about him in the book of Exodus What you'll see is that they were to defeat one of the little G gods that they worship there in Egypt There's like a Nat God and a river God and God's like I see he's just he's just like UFC one remember that New y'all don't but it was awesome. They would do like a bunch of fights in one night And God's just taking out their little gods little gods and then the last plague the 10th plague Which is called the Passover? He says Mo you go get tell all the people get a perfect spotless lamb Shed the blood of a lamb and put it on the doorpost of your house because an angel of death It's gonna come through town and take the firstborn of every living creature Except those who have the blood of the lamb on the doorpost of their house Now if you're a New Testament believer all the lights on your dashboard ought to be going whoo, that's right And so Jesus is saying hey we're getting ready for the Passover, but what they won't understand until we get to the Last Supper Whenever we do I can't remember then what he's saying it's all of that What we've been celebrating this Passover was actually pointing to me because I'm not just another lamb of God That's come to cover over the sins of the Jewish people until next year I am the Lamb of God who's coming to take away the sin of the entire world. This is what's happening right here He says you guys know the Passover is coming and the Son of man will be delivered up to be crucified

No mysteries. No stories here. He's just putting them on the bottom shelf. It's like I can't time tell most no more stories I'm going to the cross in two days verse three And then the chief priests and the elders of the people gathered in the palace of the high priest Whose name was Caiaphas and they plotted together in order to arrest Jesus by stealth and to kill him John 11 lets us know that the reason that the religious people wanted to kill him is because they were afraid They said if everybody starts following after him, we're gonna lose power We're gonna lose position and we're gonna lose our people Because that's what religion will do man. It will cause you to use other people so that you can somehow be lifted up He said But we can't do it during the feast Unless they're being uproar among the people So it's crazy man. They continuously point out Jesus. Hey, you broke that rule you broke that rule and you broke that rule They were all man-made rules meanwhile they are plotting the murder of Jesus and somehow declare themselves righteous It's sick Verse 6 it says now when Jesus says it Bethany and here's what you have to understand Matthew puts this Chronologically out of order chronology is a really big deal to us in the west It's not as a big deal to those in the first century If you'll remember one of the things that pastor on a taught us is that Matthew is like a lawyer preparing the case So this event actually happened six days before the Passover But as Matthew is remembering all the things that had happened and led along by the Holy Spirit He's like oh, here's another piece of evidence on the character and nature of our Savior And so this is the event that he talks about now when Jesus was at Bethany in the house of Simon the leper and here's what's cool This this event that's recorded in Matthew is also in John chapter 12 and also in Mark chapter 14 In Luke chapter 7, there's another event. It sounds very similar, but it was completely different And what's happening here? I love this so much when he went to Bethany the reason he goes to Bethany. That's where his buddies are Mary Martha and Lazarus And if you're in the gifted class, you already know what happened to Lazarus in John chapter 11 This is when Jesus he is up in the Galilee and Lazarus is sick and Mary and Martha send a messenger to Jesus And they say the one that you love is sick and

Jesus knowing this wait and wait and wait Anybody ever pray for something and God wait and wait and wait and Jesus let's Lazarus die And not just a little bit dead. He's dead dead. He's been dead for four days And then he shows up in the town and when he shows up in the town Martha The brother the sister of Lazarus sheets. He's real type A. She's real driven anybody know any Martha's Anybody married doing Martha? You know saying? If you would have been here, my brother would not have died. And Jesus is like, "Oh, he'll be resurrected." And she gets real theological. Well, I know everyone will be resurrected in the end. And Jesus goes, "No, no, Martha. I am the resurrection in the life." And then he keeps going, and there's Mary. Every time you see Mary, this isn't Jesus' mom. This is her buddy, Mary. Mary is a very common name then. Every time you see Mary, you're going to see her at the feet of Jesus. And she is weeping. And Jesus just shows up. If he doesn't have a theological dissertation about heaven and hell, he just sits down and he cries with her. And Jesus wept. And then he says, "Hey, show me the tomb." And they walk up to the tomb in Bethany. Lazarus has been in there four days. And Jesus is like, "I'm about to raise Lazarus."

And Martha's like, "In the King James, it says this." But Lord, he stinks. That's what it says, literally. Ha! And he says, "Roll away the stone." And then the Bible says he calls out his name. Lazarus, come out. And the reason a lot of commentators say that he had to call Lazarus' name is if he just spoke to the dead and he said, "Get him, come on." It would have wiped out the graveyard, man. It would have been like a thriller video. There's nobody out there. You know what I mean? I added the thriller part, but I think that's true. So now he goes to Bethany and they're going to throw a party. And what this is, is this is a gratitude party. Because they're so grateful for who Jesus is and what he has done. And it says that they meet at Simon the leper's house. Here's the problem I have with this. What is wrong with us that we try to constantly define people by their past? Because the reality is, if Simon is still a leper, he can't throw a party. So why don't we call him Simon that used to be leper? Simon the clean. Simon the healed. You realize this? I mean, it's kind of like we talked about it earlier. The woman with the issue of blood. How would you like to be known by your issues? Oh, here's Ted with the issue of anger. And his wife with the issue of nagging.

Look at them. Okay? So, no, man. The enemy tries to define us by our past. The blood of Jesus says I speak a different, a better word over you. It's about the blood of Jesus and from now on. And listen, man, they're going to have a party. Every single time we get together as a church, you know what it ought to be? It ought to be a gratitude party, man. It ought to be a bunch of people getting together just to celebrate who he is and what he has done. And then it gets real. Verse 7 in a woman, John chapter 12 lets us know that this woman is Mary. The sister of Lazarus, who Jesus brought out of the grave. She is so overwhelmed with gratitude. She is so just consumed that Jesus is at the house that she is at. And she breaks all the norms. And a woman came up to Jesus with an alabaster flask of very expensive ointment. It was called Nard. The PR campaign was not that good. I don't know who's buying Nard, but it's very expensive. It comes from the Himalayas. That ain't close to Jerusalem, man. That's like Pakistan. And she poured it on his head as he reclined at the table. The book of Mark lets us know that she pours his own his head all the way down to his feet. And then she lets her hair down, which in the first century women were supposed to do that. And she wipes off the oil, the Nard off of his feet with her hair. Do you know why? Because she's overcome with gratitude.

It's very expensive. It's over a year's wages. I still haven't met the person. This is, I love Jesus so much. I'm going to take a whole year's wages and I'm just going to give it to him. In fact, it's more than that. The reason I would say that is because of her socio-economic situation. There's not a real reason why a little woman, young girl from Bethany would have that kind of treasure in her life. This was probably her dowry. And so in that world, what that meant was this was how she was going to tell all the suitable men I am suitable to be courted. So ultimately what she got here, she's got all of her hopes, all of her future, all of her dreams. This was going to be the thing that the husband's family was going to receive when somebody married her. This was her hopes of being taken care of, of being provided for, of being married, of having children and raising them there. And here's what she does. She goes and gets what everybody would say. This is the most valuable thing that she has. And then when she walks in the room with Jesus, on this planet, and so I'm gonna crack this thing open and I'm gonna pour it on the feet of Jesus. And she gets it, 'cause Jesus is gonna say she is anointing me for death. Listen, she responds with extravagant worship. Extravagant worship. And then what's gonna happen next is some people are gonna criticize her. They were like, "Hey." She didn't do it right. Hey, I've asked you this question a million times, man. You ever try to make somebody love what you love? You ever just, there's something you experience

and it's so just truly awesome. And you're like, "You gotta get you some of this." I've been trying to get Gretchen to love sweet tea for 26 years, and she don't like it. I don't know what's wrong with her, pray for her. (congregation laughing) I've been trying to get y'all to love the Bulldogs and some of y'all still lost, but that's fine. I mean, my Bible's written in red and black, but so you deal with that however you want to. (congregation laughing) But you know, whatever. But I've given my whole life for you to love Jesus, and I can't make you love what I love. I don't want you to just see what we do here at the church. It's just an activity, and when it's convenient for you to just show up and sing a few songs and listen to a talk that's entertaining, and then just not love Jesus. She pours out her heart and soul for Jesus, and I want you to be consumed with him, captivated by him, overwhelmed by his grace, and his love and his mercy, that he so loved you, that he gave his life on the cross for you, and the only right response is that you would take whatever is most valuable in your life, which is you, and you would pour yourself back on him. That's what we're doing in baptism in just a minute, man. Like about 18 more minutes, we're gonna start baptizing people.

And a part of the reason we ain't got a clam shell up here with a little like, whoa, sprinkle, man. The word baptito literally means the dip, dunk, and smurge, but it's also a picture of what you're doing. You're saying, I am crucified with Christ, dead and buried, it's no longer I who live. But Christ who lives in me in the life that I now live, I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me, and he poured out his blood and life for me. And so the normative, the natural, the supernatural responses, so I'm gonna take what is the most valuable in my life, and I'm gonna pour it out on the feet of Jesus. And that's what she does. And then the first century spiritual HOA shows up with a clipboard. Man. And when the disciples saw it, and by the way, in John chapter 12, the person that says this thing I'm gonna read, John 12, let's just know it was Judas. And when the disciples say it, they were indignant. And here's what Judas says. Why this waste, for this could have been sold for a large sum and given to the poor. You ever heard that before? Why is that church using all that money for those worship centers? You know, that could be used for the poor. I hear it all the time. Listen, when you say that, you're quoting Judas.

And in case you're not in the gifted class, you'd ever wanna be on Team Judas. And this is what he does, man, okay? Listen, it happens all the time, man. You know the person is displaying the spirit of Judas when they can't see what Christ calls beautiful 'cause you can't see Pastor on critical heart. Listen, we get it, man, when we planted this church back in the day 2012, I see your original CFO, Stacey Brown right there. We, beach was so gracious to us. Oh my gosh, we wouldn't exist without Pastor Jerry and the beach church, and they let us live there for a year and a half, and together as two churches, we raised $6 million, and they needed $2 million to relaunch beach, and we needed $4 million to begin the building that would house the church right next door in the old Walmart, okay? And so that's what we did. And right when we launched, there was this kind of, there was this, I don't know what you call it, magazine, and they had this scathing article, church spends $4 million, and then straight up, they just said, do you know how many poor people could have been fed with $4 million? I don't think they knew they were quoting Judas, and the church isn't right. Now, if I, I could have taken that $4 million, and fed, I don't know how many peanut butter and jelly sandwiches you can make for $4 million,

you can make it a lot. Now I'd have gone to federal prison, 'cause we raised the money under the idea that, they don't let you just do whatever you wanna do. But we could've done it. We could've fed poor people one time, one time. But that's not the primary call of the church. The primary call of the church is to glorify God by making disciples. And does God care about poor people? You better believe it, Matthew chapter 25 is that we feed the poor and we do all the things. And guess what? Now you fast forward to 2026. And we took that $4 million and we broke it open. And we did the thing the Bible says to do. We're making disciples and make disciples and make disciples. And if you actually care about poor people, guess what our church does now? Through the life of our church, we as a church, have released 36,000 children from poverty in Jesus' name through Compassion International. And if you just do the math, 43 times 12-- because it's $43 a month-- for a year, times 36,000. It's like $18.5 million, not just one time, but year after year after year. And that's not to mention the 67 outposts we have in prisons and say we're outdoors when we're fighting against suicide

in the lives of our veterans and first responders. And we support Hadassas Hope to help women who have been trafficked. And we support a bunch of boys and girls club and orphan care in the 29 senior living facilities that we're in right now. And on and on and on it goes. So pay very little attention to somebody that's on Team Judas and not Team Jesus. And the reality is, is Judas didn't care. In John 12, it says that Judas had control of the money bags of Jesus incorporated. And he was a thief. He was taken from for himself. Now, a question you want to ask yourself, and when you got some time to think about it, are you a thief? Because God is first. And your first and best is His. And do you have in your pocket what belongs to Him? That's what Judas was doing, verse 10. But Jesus, after the Judas complains, but Jesus, aware of this, said to them, why do you trouble this woman for she has done a beautiful thing to me? I think this is the only place in the Bible where Jesus calls something beautiful. So the reason we worship like we worship. And you might be sitting next to a crazy person, man. They crying their hands all up and you're like,

that's a lot. He's worth it. He's worth it. And some of you worship like a mannequin, man. You just look like you've been weaned on a pickle. Like are you a believer? Tell your face, open your mouth, lift your hands. This is what the Bible says to do, why? Because he is worthy of our worship. This is why we get into it, man. We're gonna sing this song at the end of the service while we're baptizing people. So you got to sing super loud. And it's called How He Loves. And when it first came out, it's kind of an older song. But we're resurrecting it, man, 'cause I love it so much. And I run with that. There used to be called the Young Restless and Reform. Now they're just kind of old and crotchety, but I run around with those guys. And there was this one line and there that made all the theologians uncomfortable. And it's this, and heaven meets earth like a sloppy wet kiss. And the theologian's like, I don't like that. 'Cause you shower in a button-up, bro. I mean, relax. And so I'd be at conferences and they'd be like, "Y'all seeing sloppy wet kiss?" And I'm like, "Oh yeah, we seeing sloppy wet kiss."

Heaven meets earth like a sloppy wet kiss. 'Cause we love him and he loved actually to make it kosher for Christian radio. They changed it to unforeseen kiss. That seems kind of illegal. (audience laughs) Stop, stop, what do you, you know what I mean? Get off me. Listen, man, I've been married to Gres for 26 years. I don't want to know about her. I don't want to just study her Instagram profile. I want to love her. I want to sloppy wet kiss her as much as I can. And don't sexualize this, but when she's pouring out the most expensive thing that she has, and some people are being critical, Jesus is saying, shut your face. What she's doing is beautiful. My desire is that every time we get in this place and we sing to Jesus and we worship him in Word, and he looks at us and goes, "Oh, that's beautiful." Like that Jesus receives it, it's beautiful. When we start baptizing a whole bunch of people here in a minute, I just want him to see it as every single person just says, "Jesus Christ is my Lord and Savior." Said, "He would say, that's beautiful, and that's beautiful, and that's beautiful." And wait for the critics, you just wait, 'cause it'll come out online and they'll be like,

When the Ethiopian Union says, "Here's what or what hinders me for being baptized," the answer is nothing. And so some of you are like, "Well, I'm not ready. Cute. We're ready. We're ready." And let's be honest, man. We're beach people. I've seen you in publics with sand behind your ears soaking wet, so you can go home soaking wet. No problem. No problem. So he says, "This is beautiful." And then he keeps going. Jesus says, "For you always have to pour with you, but you will not always have me in pouring this ointment on my body. She has done it to prepare me for burial. Truly, I say to you, wherever this gospel is proclaimed in the whole world, what she has done will also be told in memory of her." We are 2,000 years later, a long way from Bethany. And guess what? Judas is a heel and Mary is a hero because she poured herself out on the feet of Jesus. So ultimately, what happens is this, man, Judas didn't get what he wanted from Jesus. See, Judas was in the camp because he thought Jesus was going to take over and Judas was going to be in power. And so what do you do when you don't get what you want from Jesus? So here's what Judas does. Then one of the 12 whose name was Judas Iscariot went to the chief priest and he said, "What will you give me? What will you give me?" That's the key to understanding this. If I deliver him over to you. So Judas is basically like, "All right, Jesus, if I can't get what I want from you, I'll just go get it for myself." That means Judas was the Lord of his own life. And they paid him 30 pieces of silver. That was the price to redeem a slave in the first century. And from that moment, he sought an opportunity to betray him. Pastor Brett said this on deep and when we recorded it a couple of days ago, "You know who was in charge of the money? Judas." That's the very thing that Jesus trusted Judas with was the thing that Judas betrayed Jesus with. Here's why I bring this up. Religion is going to teach you, "Well, what do I get? What do I have to do to get what I want?" And redemption is this is what Christ has done for you. Would you receive his grace and respond by giving him your life? And what I want to tell you is this. This makes me so stinking nervous as the lead pastor of 1122 with all the people and all the services and all the things. Please don't miss Jesus. Judas was a disciple. Judas heard every sermon. Judas was in disciple group with Jesus. Like if he was like, "Hey, I got a question." Jesus was like, "Yeah, I wrote it." What? Gave him the right answer every time. This is crazy. Judas did miracles. He didn't just witness them. They happened in his hands.

The Bible says that at the feeding of the 5,000, Jesus blessed the food, handed to them, and the disciples handed it out. But Judas was more concerned about the part he played than what he was a part of. And he missed. He missed Jesus. So listen, Jenny Allen said it on Thursday night. There's only two ways for you to live your life. There's not a hundred. There's only two. She quoted Romans 8, but same thing. I would point right here. You got one of two options. You can go the way of Mary and surrender your life to Christ, or you can go to the way of Judas and have life your way. You can fall at his feet and worship him, or you could be the Lord of your own life and reject him. And you might be saying, "Well, I'm not rejecting him to ignore him is to reject him." These are your only options. So what do you do? When Jesus doesn't do it for you, what you want him to do, how do you respond? By faith? Or do you take the reigns of your own life and say, "I got this." Man, I saw this week one of the most beautiful pictures of faith in the most horrendous circumstances ever. I got a text from a buddy of mine named Jeff. He said, "Hey, there's this girl named Holly, Holly Trout, and she's in hospice at Mayo. She's been in a battle with cancer for the last couple of years. Will you go see her?" Of course, I love her. Holly is 37 years old, like a marathon runner on doing all the things, man. Paleo and eats right and no drugs and all that kind of stuff, just the fittest person ever. And then she gets diagnosed with cancer. In fact, a year ago in a prayer and anointing service, she was here and got in my line and I prayed over her. And up to this point, it does not look like God has answered the prayers the way we were praying. And so I went to go see her at hospice and I walk into the room. And in fact, she's watching right now from her room at Mayo. And there she is in the bed, man. And she might weigh 65 pounds. I mean, she wasn't big to begin with it. She's a marathon runner. Her arms are about this big. She has a tumor on her neck and it's just getting bigger

and bigger and bigger and I walk in, her eyes light up. She can't speak. She can barely hear. And I just read John 14 over her. Do not let your heart be troubled. Trust in God. Trust also in me for I go to prepare a place for you. And if it were not so, I would not tell you and I'm coming back to take you where I am and she can't speak so she gets out this little whiteboard and marker and she just writes to me this note and she's pouring out gratitude. Thank you. I can't believe that you would come see me and all I can say is it is just such an honor. And I've seen her faith when she's not getting her prayers and she's the way she wanted, begin to reverberate around the community of influence. My friend Jeff that told me about her, he said the reason I'm walking with Jesus again is 'cause Holly invited me to 11, 22. And here's what she does. I say, thank you, we hold hands for a long time. I pray over her and then she takes the thing back and she writes on there and she says, she says, "If the reason that I'm going through "all of this is to have a bad A testimony." And she even wrote, "A," would like, (mumbles)

'cause she wanted to cuss to the past or whatever. If the reason I go through all of this is to have one bad A testimony, just so some more people could come to him, I'll say, worth it, sign me up again. Now that is beautiful, beautiful. (congregation applauds) So my question is, do you know him? Not know about him, but do you know him? Which direction are you gonna go? You gonna go the way of Judas with a critical heart that takes the reins of your own life and say, "I got this," or are you gonna go the way of Mary and kneel at the feet of Jesus and just pour out what is most valuable to you on him? And that's what baptism is, man. Because actually what she is doing is just reflecting what Jesus is going to do for her. He is gonna take what is most valuable, him, the Son of God, and he's going to pour out his blood on the cross to redeem her and buy her back as his very own. And so if you've ever put your faith in Jesus or you wanna do it right now, then your next step is believer's baptism. Is to get it in this water and we're gonna ask you, are you ready to renounce, cut ties with, turn your back on, the sins of your past? You ain't Simon the leper anymore, you're Simon the clean, Simon the whole,

Simon the healed, are you ready to cut ties with, renounce the sins of your past? The ways of this world, I'm not living life the way this world tells me to live it. 'Cause all this world does, all it brings is death, disappointment, and destruction. And are you ready to renounce anything dark or demonic you've ever been connected to? And pledge your allegiance to Christ and Christ alone, and you're gonna say yes. And then we're gonna ask you the most important question you'll ever answer in your entire life, and who is Jesus to you? And you're gonna say Jesus Christ is my Lord and Savior. And we're gonna say upon your public declaration of Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior, I baptized you, my Christian brother and sister in the name of the Father, the Son, of the Holy Spirit, and we dunk you under the water, man. It shows the whole world that the blood of Jesus has washed away your sins. And just like Jesus came up out of that grave, you're gonna come out of that water, and then we about to have a gratitude party like Simon's house, and we're gonna lose our ever-loving mind. And I hope we baptized so many people that 11, 22 service starts. So we're in here just dunking and dunking and dunking. So y'all ready to have a party?

So we do stand to your feet, let me pray for you. If you're gonna get baptized, you just run up here, hurry, come on. By the time I say amen, I need all the tubs full, and then we can just pick and I'll go down it. We'll have people direct you to get into the tub, and sometimes we're gonna be singing and when we get to that sloppy wet kiss part, you better sing so loud that it shakes the foundations of all those people that are critical of that song. You understand what I'm saying? Let's pray, our good and gracious heavenly Father God, we love you more than anything because Jesus, you first loved us. Time out in the prayer, get in the tub, come on, don't stop them at the line, go, build them up, go, go, go. All right, Jesus, we're back. Jesus, Lord, we just pray this is beautiful to you. God, I thank you for the salvation of every man, every woman, every student, every child that's gonna declare you as Lord and Savior and for the person right now that is paralyzed by fear, Lord, I pray that they would know that you have not given us the spirit of fear but of power, of love, and of a sound mind. So Lord, I pray that they would have the sound mind, they would know that you love them and they would have the power and the humility to get in line and pour their whole life out for the one who poured out his blood for us.
